IT developer specialized in geographic information systems


To strengthen our IT team, we are looking for an IT developer specialized in geographic information systems.

  • 100% working rate, starting February or date to be agreed
  • Location: Bussigny (VD), Home-office

Job activities

  • Participate in IT and DATA projects for corporate GIS.
  • Develop web and mobile applications, custom widgets, etc.
  • Participate in specifications with internal teams and POs
  • Analyze, model and design architectures on different GIS platforms.
  • Develop interaction tools between the GIS platform and other information systems (webservices, custom interfaces, etc.).
  • Implement geoprocessing on spatial databases (SDE, Datastore, PostGIS, etc.).



  • Several languages and tools mastered, including Javascript, Java, Kotlin, .Net, HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Gitlab, Github, Jira, etc.
  • Necessary skills with ArcGIS APIs as well as good knowledge of other APIs (leaflet, openlayers, etc.).
  • Comfortable with database manipulations (geodatabase, postgresql, postgis, sql server, sqlite, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of enterprise GIS architectures
  • Knowledge of IT architecture useful (https, certificates, server schemas, docker, Apache, tomcat, IIS, etc.)
  • Experienced in one or more of the following management methods: Scrum, Kanban, Prince2, Waterfall, etc.
  • At least 3 years’ experience on various projects
  • Fluent in French, comfortable in spoken and written English, German or Swiss-German is a useful plus.

    Positioning and Navigation Engineer (GNSS)


    • 100% working rate, starting January or date to be agreed

    GeoDataSolutions is a Swiss company active in the fields of geographic information systems, geoinformatics, satellite and space technologies and data management. The Swiss Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) is actively working on the development of the PNT domain in Switzerland. In this context, various projects will start in 2024 in collaboration with GeoDataSolutions.

    Job activities

    Join the dynamic GeoDataSolutions team and work on the topic of PNT in Switzerland and GNSS navigation. Work closely with the Swiss Federal Office of Topography (swisstopo) on joint projects.

    You’ll be working on technical solutions to increase the resilience of GNSS signals and coordinating various projects involving numerous players in the world of navigation and positioning.

    The topics are innovative, and the position combines a scientific profile with analytical and coordination skills.

    Skills required 

    • In-depth knowledge and experience in GNSS signal processing, geomatics and basic geodesy (in particular satellite geodesy)
    • Good working knowledge of an official Swiss language and English
    • Mastery of a recognized project management method

    Educational background

    • Master’s degree or higher in geoinformatics specialized in GNSS: position open to juniors


    • Master’s degree or higher in a scientific or engineering field such as (geo) informatics, geomatics, mathematics, physics or similar: 2 years’ experience or more.
